Every student who uses Quotenotes to assist in reading and understanding a text, can do an English exam confident they can answer any question on their text. Students feel empowered by the Quotenotes to go on and read any text with insight, having improved their reading skills.

Carmel Ehrenkreutz M.A., T.P.T.C., is the originator of Quotenotes. She has taught in primary and secondary schools in Victoria and New South Wales. An opportunity to work on study and organisational skills at Wenona School in North Sydney, led her to develop a unique and highly successful study programme "Taking the Initiative".

As she used "Taking the Initiative" with students from a range of secondary schools, she realized that students of today can feel they don't know where to begin with a novel, play or poem. She therefore devised Quotenotes as a method whereby students could move easily into the text and gain confidence and reading skills.

Students who have used Quotenotes complete English exams with the tools of knowledge and insight which bring confidence and success.
